Pumpkin Patch!

The path was LONG and Ryker only lasted down one stretch and had to be carried the rest of the way.

We looked long and hard for the PERFECT pumpkin.

I went for BIG of course.

Sister was leaning more towards these rinky dink things she calls Gords.

When it came time to posing for pictures I wanted nothing to do with it. That's my sisters calling, not mine!

HAVE A WONDERFUL HALLOWEEN SEASON!

Thirsty?

These days Ryker likes to do everything himself! When he discovered he couldn't reach the cups he took matters into his own hands...

4 Wheelin' Fun

Hadleigh wants so badly to be a motorcycle girl so we thought we'd start her out on 4 wheels and recently got her this 4-Wheeler. Mom's not brave enough to let her drive alone yet but she does do all the handling with mom or dad on back. Ryker has also decided he likes it and throws a huge fit when his turn is over...so much that we've been putting them both on just so we don't have to listen to Ryker yell.

When you can spend hours playing in a box of packing foam!!

Papa's Farm

Ryker can't get enough of riding on the tractor with Papa. In fact, every tractor we see, regardless of the color or size, is Papa's tractor if you ask Ryker.

On our latest trip we also picked tomatoes and peppers, checked on the pumpkins and got to feel the broom corn.

Trip to Omaha

Mom's been super busy at work so we decided to get away for Labor Day weekend. We headed to Omaha to visit the Children's Museum and stay in a nice hotel with a pool. It ended up being a great trip! Uncle Tim and Aunt Rebecca came down from South Dakota and spent the day at the museum with us and then took us downtown for dinner, a carriage ride and ice cream. We ended up at the hotel for a quick swim and then we all sacked out!
After sleeping in we headed out for a big breakfast and some quick shopping before making a slow trip back home after visiting cousins in Seneca, Papa and Gamwa and friends in Frankfort.
Ryker would have been fine playing in the water fountain all day.

Daddy started making a clown face but Ryker wanted to help so they went camo/war paint.

The fire truck was WAY cool!

Purple Power Play on Poyntz

It's Wildcat football season and the best way to kick it off is at the community pep rally on Poyntz. You have to wear as much purple as you can to fit in. Mom and dad didn't think the mohawk was enough...it HAD to be a purple mohawk!

First Ever Camping Trip

Ryker wasn't sure what camping was all about but he sure couldn't stop talking about going. He must have known he'd love it! So much so that mom and dad are thinking about buying a camper and taking up a new hobby...we'll see. Ryker loved being outside until dark, didn't mind the lake water too much and especially liked throwing rocks into the water. When it was time to pack up and leave he kept saying, "go gain". He was ready to try camping out again.

Lil' Mohawk Man

Daddy decided at 10pm the other night that Ryker needed a new look. The end result was a bit messy and had to be fixed by the professionals, but we all think it fits Ryker's personality perfectly!

Miss Hadleigh's temporary color made it look like a couple rock stars lived at our house.

Of course, Ryker wouldn't be Ryker without the dirt on his face.

No Blankies or Bears

Ryker can't even think sleep until he is cuddled up with his favorite motorcycle or truck. He sure makes his daddy proud.

Summer Treats

Umm,umm Good! Ryker loves his watermelon. As long as you keep it coming he'll keep on eating it. This most recent treat was enjoyed at his Great Uncle Mike's near Chillicothe, MO.

Ryker is 2!

July 25th was Ryker's 2nd Birthday! Hard to believe he is already a toddler. He has sure been an adventure thus far and we look forward to the adventures ahead.

Ryker enjoyed the company of his sister and cousins, London and Samara, on his birthday. He slept in while the girls anxiously waited for him to wake up so they could be the first to wish him a "happy birthday". He was quite pleased with their enthusiasm and grinned from ear to ear.

In the afternoon we headed to daycare for our cupcake treats. The kids' had put lots of effort into the cards made just for Ryker. His shyness won out during a round of singing Happy Birthday. He knew the spotlight was on him...and when it comes to that, him and his sister are complete opposites.

He opened his gifts on sisters birthday so Grandma could be there to see his reactions. He has been having a ball with his bouncy Horse and weed-eater.

For his big party, shared with sister, we headed to The Great Wolf Lodge with lots of friends for the weekend.
